College life is a great. As for now that is. Taylors College.

Pretty awesome place to start at.
The first day I checked into my boarding house. It was like crap. The room.
Ahh. I redid the whole room. Nothing else to do.
Orientation was yummy. Met tons of strangers. Ramai from hong kong. Ppl speaking cantonese here and there.

Hard to believe. First class I had, we were glued onto the projection screen watching music videos.
Black Eyed Peas music videos.
Went back. Read an email.

Now that you have viewed the videos and have a chance to read the biographies and lyrics (PLEASE take the opportunity to view the videos again online, or listen to the songs on the student server – under ‘Studentscan’ & ‘Monkey Business’ … or better yet, buy/rip the albums – Elephunk & Monkey Business, as the music does rock).
On Thursday, we will review the course structure, then discuss the issues raised by in today’s lecture.
Your first media literacy assignment (5%, 500 words max, typed, note form and bullets are fine, as long as it is coherent) is:
“How effective an impact do the Black Eyed Peas have on their target audience?”
This is due on Monday.
